Craniopharyngiomas (CP) are congenital, benign, embryonic malformations which arise from ectoblastic remnants of Rathke’s pouch and are located in the (supra-)sellar region. Many patients show a reduced growth rate and an increased BMI early before the diagnosis of CP.
